#LongLastingLove ~ New Nail Colors from Essence Cosmetics

#longlastinglove -

I did a huge haul of a mix of things and i am still making up my mind on blogging about it or not but here are two things that I just had to write about because pretty nails, ha.

I didn’t go to Essence Cosmetics counter for a new nail polish in a while now and that’s just so unlike me. I always love picking up vibrant colors from them as their collection never disappoints. Life got just too hectic and I didn’t get much time to spend at the mall hence there hasn’t been an update but I went there a few weeks back and got my hands on these two.

Hot Pink - Lucky -

Now everyone here knows how much I love my blue nails and all that blue jazz but I made a little change this time. I decided to go for a pink shade. *who is this person?* I got Essence the Gel Nail Polish in shade #09 Lucky. It’s a gorgeous hot pink and is so flattering on the nails. The formula as usual has been amazing and one coat makes the nail opaque. I am very happy with this purchase.

Lets Get Lost -

I tried checking out without getting a blue shade but how is that even possible?! I got Essence the Gel Nail Polish in shade #30 Let’s Get Lost – Oh, interesting name. 😀 It is a robin’s egg blue color. The formula for this one is good too. This shade looks a lot like Rimmel Salon Pro Lycra Britpop can be considered as its perfect dupe.

These colors are from their summer collection I believe, I am not sure, but they are hash tagged with Long Lasting Love. You guys need to head out to an Essence counter near you and check their collection because they have come out with a whole new range of colors and all of them are amazing. I have my eyes on the maroon and purple one. 😀

The Perfect Golden Dial ~ Aldo Accessories

I spoke about my latest purchase from Aldo in Feb I guess! (Click here!) I found this gorgeous Golden dial with cursive numbers. It came with a set of 5 changeable straps and was for RO 16. It has three plain straps; Mint Green, White & Brown, and the other two straps are printed; Red Polka Dots & Floral. These are really pretty and go along with lots of clothes.

The durability of these straps isn’t that good especially the printed ones because they are made of cloth and even though I haven’t used it much but you can already see it has got threads coming out from the sides and is also coming undone. This was a huge disappointment. I am just being careful now while using them and would suggest that if you are buying a watch set from Aldo or from anywhere really make sure to have a thorough look through at the material of the straps.

I won’t say I am disappointed with the purchase because I really am not. The options are great and they look really pretty on the wrist. I would just wish they do better with the quality the next time around!

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg -

1- Currently Reading

I got my hands on Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Blogger/Youtuber Zoella). A friend got it for me from Pakistan. It is not available in Oman for now. So far I have read a couple of chapters and I am reading it in Zoe’s voice, ha. I can’t wait to read more and give you guys a review! Very glad I got a copy because I was dying of curiosity. All my favorite bloggers are coming out with their books and it’s so exciting. This community is thriving and I am so proud of being a part of it. 🙂

Lindt Swiss Dark Chocolate -

2- Testing Testing

I don’t like to experiment with chocolates because I am a forever Galaxy and Cadbury girl (with except of Patchi and Starbucks) but I tried Lindt Swiss Dark Chocolate this week and it was quite good. It tasted like Starbuck’s Dark Chocolate and I guess I will probably repurchase it (quite a lot from now). I would love to try other flavors too from Lindt so if you have any favorites do leave them in the comments below. 🙂

Maybelline Lady Red Lipstick -

3- Red Lips

I can’t deny it anymore; Red Lips is my most favorite thing in the whole world. I can’t stop trying Red lipsticks from every makeup counter. I love them all and I want them all. Recent favorites include Bobbi Brown Hollywood Red, MAC Ruby Woo and MAC Cherry Lip Pencil. For now, I am wearing my Maybelline Red Lady lipstick nonstop. Red Lips are just my kinda thing.

Khaadi -

4- Kurta Obsession

Now this is a complete South Asian thing. There is a Pakistani clothes brand called Khaadi. It’s very popular and kinda high-end. They have come out with some really nice Kurtas and I am dying to fly off to Lahore and buy myself the whole shop. A friend got me one and I still didn’t get my hands on it but as soon as I do I shall keep you guys posted on how lovely it is in real.

Durr-e-Najaf -

5- New on Finger

I don’t really think anyone would know about it but I recently got a ring with a transparent stone called ‘Durr e Najaf’. It’s related to Islamic history and I do not know much other than that Hazrat Ali (R.A.) used to wear this stone on his finger. I love it. It’s absolutely gorgeous and ever since I got it, I didn’t take it off. They say it wards off troubles. Let’s hope that’s true. 🙂

6- Room

I am getting a little crazy with the idea of redoing my room completely. For now it doesn’t seem anything like me unless you count my bookshelf in. I am thinking of doing some home ware hauls and just get my room to look more like me. I am thinking of wall frames, wall shelves, some candles and more books. I can start with a new and bigger bookshelf and a study table that goes with my furniture. Also, packing away some unwanted items for now would be great too. Anybody has any suggestions please let me know in the comments below. I need to make a Pinterest board.

Have a good weekend y’ll!

New on Wrist~

My search for a golden dial watch came to an end couple of weeks ago when I was in Aldo browsing its aisle of pretty accessories. I loved the huge mild golden dial it had and the gorgeous Mint strap was such an added bonus because lately I have been loving all things mint. The numbers are in cursive style which is oh so lovely. This dial is my dream come true. ❤

This dial came with four more changeable straps, all of the equally pretty. So far I have just used the Mint one but do expect a post about them all in the coming days. I would like to add, even though the durability of these straps is not that good but they do look pretty on the arm.

A Bit of Shopping, Fashion

New In Closet~

After tearing a giant hole in my Parfois bag that I intended to blog about and breaking my Adore bag recently, I was yet again on the hunt of finding a new bag that will take my rough treatment. I wanted to go for a plain black bag and wasn’t in the mood of spending much. H&M usually do expensive bags and I haven’t heard any reviews about them from people I know, so I never gave their bags much thought. Two weeks back I went there aimlessly and that’s where I found this beauty.

It’s a hard material plain black bag with gold detailing which is my favorite combination ever. It has short straps as well as long strap attachment too that turns it into a Satchel but I don’t take it that way (cuz I overdid that style for 2 years). The interior isn’t fancy. It has no compartments. It just has a small zip pocket on one side and two pockets on the other. It is very spacious too which is just awesome. It’s a dump-everything-in-me-while-rushing-out-of-the-door-cuz-you’re-late-AF bag. I LOVE IT!!!! The best thing about it is, it is weightless. I carry so much stuff with me + a huge book (always) and that all is weighing it down, but it still seems far weightless compared to my previous bags. Finding and purchasing it was like a dream come true.

It was originally RO 20.900 or RO 21.900 I guess, but it was reduced to RO 8.000. Now wasn’t that a great bargain?

Have a good day y’all 🙂

NOTD ~ Rimmel Salon Pro Lycra 713 Britpop

If you’ve been following me from the very start you would know about my obsession with color Blue. I love Blue and all its shade. It is the most attractive color to me. I picked up Britpop assuming it was exactly like an unlabeled Tiffany Blue nail color I had. It was similar but not exactly alike.

Britpop is a neon tiffany blue. It is extremely bright and can put the spotlight right on your fingers the moment you apply it. It stands out really. I have worn it with neutral and monochrome clothes and it looks super. It doesn’t go with bright colors though as far as I have experimented.

Rimmel makes some of the best nail polishes I would say. Their Salon Pro Lycra range is of extremely high quality. The nail polish brush is broad enough to cover the whole finger in one sweep. The formula is thick requiring only one coat to make the nails opaque. What I love the most about Rimmel nail polishes is their color. If it’s a British blue; it is that color to a T and if it is Red – it is the proper red. I can’t wait to buy more colors from Rimmel. They are right up my street.

What is your favorite shade by Rimmel?

NOTD ~ Off To Miami by Essence

*Effortlessly gorgeous nails alert!!*

Off to Miami (1)

Off to Miami (2)

I just can’t get enough of Essence it seems. I have bought yet another nail polish from them and this one is a massive favorite. 109 Off to Miami is a peachy salmon color that goes on your nail effortlessly, dries off real quick and last for eons. Honestly. The formal is extremely superb.

I have been reaching out for Off to Miami so much these days. It is just the perfect color to wear in this confused weather where we are not sure whether it is summer, autumn, spring or winter out there or all four of them at once. It suits all skin tones and goes well with neutral colored dresses as well as colorful ones. You don’t need to change your nail color for the evening *woop woop*

I’ve been getting quite a lot of compliments on it and people often ask which nail polish I am wearing. It’s such a fabulous feeling, ha. Essence nail polishes range impresses me yet again. Can’t wait to go back and purchase another gorgeous shade.

What do you think of Essence Nail Polish range? Do you like this color? Do let me know in the comments below! 🙂

NOTD ~ Flashy Pumpkin by Essence

If you live in the Middle East, summer is never really over. While other countries celebrate spring in full swing, we wait on just the tiny ruffle of leaves. It’s not false to say we mostly experience season summer year round. Well it does give us a privilege of wearing summer clothes, accessories and do summer bits like go to the beach for a swim and not bundle up in our sweaters and stay home when we don’t feel like it, ha, and this is when I present a new nail color which goes well with our hot weather.

Flashy Pumpkin by Essence ( (1)

Flashy Pumpkin (does it ring a bell? :D) by Essence is a bright/neon orange color that goes with about anything and I do mean anything. It even looks amazing with black and grey dresses, what else would one need. I wanted to get it from a while but when I went to purchase it I was dissuaded by a friend but once home I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Hence I had to make another trip to Essence’s counter the very next day.

Flashy Pumpkin by Essence ( (2)

I have been enjoying this color very much. I love wearing it with anything white. It gives the right pop of color any plain dress or tee-shirt requires. It is such a happy and bright color and I often reach out for it more than I do for Wanna Be Your Sunshine, again from Essence. Another reason why I love Flashy Pumpkin is because of its name as it reminds me of The Slutty Pumpkin from How I Met Your Mother.

Now that Halloween is just a few days away I think I have an idea what I want to dress up as, ha. Flashy Pumpkin, you are going to come very handy this year. *evil laugh*

Have a good day everyone!

Accessories From Parfois

I’ve been having a little obsession with Parfois accessories lately as you would have noticed if you are following me on Instagram. I went in the other day and got myself a pair of rings and two pairs of pretty ear rings.

1-      Rings – Crown Ring set

How cute are these miniature crown shaped rings. One fits the finger and the other the knuckle. You can wear them in separate hands or the same hands or different fingers on the same hand or you can even wear the knuckle ring on your small finger. I keep changing the order as per my mood and sometimes I wear just one of them.

2-      Leaf shaped Ear Cuffs

I don’t really know what to call them other than leaves and ear cuffs 😛 This was an instant buying decision. I wanted an ear cuff earring from so long. What I had in mind was something small like just a stud but when my eyes fell on theses I forgot all about it.

The long leaf has a stick at the bottom that goes in the earlobe and then on top it has an adjustable ear cuff which makes the earring cover the whole ear. The small leaf goes on the other ear looking small but elegant. Put your hair in a bun and put these on – super pretty and attractive. I have been complimented every time I wore them.

3-      Blog Earrings

The ear cuff obsession didn’t end there. I bought another pair for a friend. Both the earrings have adjustable ear cuffs at top and the earring stick at the bottom. These make a half moon on the ear – very, very pretty.

If you want to buy unique, fashionable and trendy accessories at a good price you should definitely check Parfois out. They do some really nice bags too. I am linking the official shopping site below plus the links for the accessories I bought in case you are interested in purchasing them. 🙂

Have you been to Parfois? How do you like it? Do you own anything from there? Do you want to suggest me any of their other items? Would you suggestion me any other brand with unique accessories?

I hope you have a fun week!

Until next time,

Love yourself often and enough. 🙂
