Start this year on a positive note. Let go of all negativity within you. That’s the best way to attract positivity in life. Happiness comes from within. You have to work hard on yourself inside out to achieve it. Let’s join hands and pledge to be our most positive self this year and encourage others to be positive too.

Music

So You Are Sad.. Leme Cheer You Up With Music~

_1432455327909

So you are down in the dump and don’t know how to sort your gloomy mood… and you are one of the music types i.e., your mood can be instantly turned around by music. If so, I have the perfect suggestion for you. Download 500 Days of Summer Soundtrack right away.

A combination of cheerful, energetic and slow songs makes for a fun listen. You will get hooked. Groovy tracks (Bad Kids (which I didn’t know would be such a favorite of mine), Vagabond, Sweet Disposition, You Make My Dreams) with some romantic and heart breaking songs (Quelqu’un M’a Dit, There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want, There Comes Your Man) and also tracks that you can relate to on a whole different level (Us, There Goes The Fear, Mushaboom, Hero, She’s Got You High, Sugar Town) assures this whole album is perhaps the most perfect soundtrack there ever could be.

Give it a listen and have a happy day!! 🙂

Love~

Fragrance

My Favorite Victoria’s Secret Body Mists ❤

My Fav VS Body Mists

I was compiling a list of perfumes for an upcoming post when inspiration hit me and I decided to share some of my favorite body mists from Victoria’s Secret. Body Mists are lighter than perfumes but are still worth having. I like Victoria’s Secret body mist more because they come in travel friendly size. I always have one of these in my bag every time I go out. I bought three a few months back and have been using them a lot in rotation and there is still so much to go.

All of these mists have a sexy smell to them. Bombshell in Bloom was the first one I started using. It has a floral smell that is girlish/flirtish sort. I fell in love with it on first sniff – definitely the one to have in your collection for summer. Angel Gold has a musk filled sandalwood kind of tone. It was the last one I started using because I wasn’t sure if I liked it that much but now it’s all I use – perfect for evenings out. Night is what love at first sight would feel like I am sure. As per VS it smells like ‘fruity notes, exotic florals, dark woods and sultry musks’, do I really need to add more? If you buy just one mist then make sure it is Night because it’s all you will ever need.

Have a good weekend ya’ll!

Love,

The Book That Has Got Me Captivated & Fixed My Funk ~ The Enchanted Rose (Misty Hills #1) by Nadia Nader

*no spoilers included*

500pxThe-Enchanted-Rose-Misty-Hills-Series-Book-1

I have been going through a very weird phase from a while where I end up being either disappointed with the books I am reading or getting uninterested within first few chapters. Just to clear things up, I love reading. I am obsessed with reading. I usually read a book from cover to cover. I cannot skimp through the pages at any cost and I always end whatever book I start even if it isn’t good enough. However lately I have been giving up on books or leaving them half way. In such a phase you always want to read more and more books just to get out of the funk. I did too but nothing worked.

A couple of days back I was contacted by Nadia Nader, a new author from Kuwait, who was kind enough to let me read her debut book in return of an honest feedback. I was elated by the opportunity. With no idea of her previous writings or what to expect, I kept my expectations normal. It won’t be fair to say I didn’t know how the book would be from the beginning because as soon as I was done with chapter two I knew it was going to be a fantastic read. No book has been able to get me this excited in a long while – and that does include Adultery by my favorite writer Paulo Coelho which is quite a surprise.

When Vivian’s mother dies in a tragic accident, Vivian’s world is turned upside down. Her life, as she knows it, is over. A new life, full of her mother’s secrets, begins…

Sent away by her father to live with two eccentric aunts on the mysterious Tremaine Estate, Vivian comes to learn that a powerful curse lurks over her family – one that only she may have the power to break. With each day she spends in Misty Hills, Vivian uncovers more unsettling discoveries about the town, her reclusive family, and herself.

Can Vivian let go of every truth she’s ever believed and discover who she really is, before the dark secrets hidden within the supernatural town threaten to consume her and those she loves? Source: Goodreads

The Enchanted Rose is the first book in Misty Hills series. My favorite things about the book were how simple and easy to understand the writing was. If you’ve been following me from a while you would know I am not very interested in authors who like to show off their vocabulary because honestly I hate checking the dictionary after every second line. Next, the story line was interesting and I really couldn’t guess a thing. I am curious how many people would go through the same situation. I thought it will be predictable because com’n how many options do you really have in a YA Paranormal novel. But I was wrong. The twist and the turns were fantastically put together and were extremely fun to discover. Lastly, I am not a big fan of cliff hanger endings but this book’s was amazing. I wasn’t furiously pulling on my hair because I was too busy smirking as it was so unexpected. Loved it. Loved it. Super Loved it. The characters are written well and I cannot wait to see their transformation in the upcoming novels.

I am going to recommend this book to anyone who is going through a dry spell as I was or is looking for a book/series that is going to be so quick to read but gives you so much. I actually want to recommend it to everyone of you because seriously it is worth spending your time reading.

The Enchanted Rose is available on Amazon on Kindle so you can purchase it from there. The second book will be out too within a few months and I must admit it is making to my most anticipated books f 2015 list. Nadia does plan to release it in paperback (hardcover too I guess – not sure about this one) someday, and if that happens I’ll be the first in line to buy it because I honestly wouldn’t mind rereading it. I have already started getting the urge to reread it, ha.

Will you be interested in reading Misty Falls series? Do let me know if you buy the book on Kindle and what you thought about it as I am very curious.

Also, if you love the series you can catch up with Nadia Nader on Twitter (Click Here)Goodreads (Click Here)Her Blog (Click Here), and Her Newsletter for direct updates (Click Here). Oh, and the here is Amazon link to buy the book on Kindle (Click Here) 🙂

Lots of love,

Books

Book Haul =D

Hola Beoble!

Hope everyone is doing well. It’s been a while I didn’t do a book post. So here goes one. 🙂

Those of you who know me in real life would know I can never be spotted without a book in my hand or in my bag. I love reading and am constantly reading something or the other. This year, I had been feeling less of a bibliophile so I went a little overboard with my book shopping. I got me some lovely covered books to cheer me up. 😀 *yaaay*

Book Haul

This time I got some books that were on my goodreads to-read list from a really long time. I seriously hate it when my to-read list has a huge number. It makes me feel like I am just marking the books to-read and never really reading them. Following is the list of books I got. 😀

1-      Divergent – Veronica Roth (Divergent #1)

2-      Insurgent – Veronica Roth (Divergent #2)

3-      Allegiant – Veronica Roth (Divergent #3)

4-      The Lost Symbol – Dan Brown

5-      Inferno – Dan Brown

6-      And The Mountains Echoed – Khaled Husseini

7-      Eleanor & Park – Rainbow Rowell

8-      The Hobbit – J. R. R. Tolkien

9-      The Lord of The Rings – J. R. R. Tolkien (LOTR #1)

10-   The Two Towers – J. R. R. Tolkien (LOTR #2)

11-   The Return of The Kind – J. R. R. Tolkien (LOTR #3)

12-   Shantaram – Gregory David Roberts

13-   The Forty Rules of Love – Elif Shafak

14-   The Book Thief – Markus Zusak

15-   The Fundamentalist – Hamid Mohsin

16-   The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari – Robin Sharma

Currently I am reading the Divergent series. Once I am done with it I think I will take a break because I am very busy with my university assignments and studies in general. I shall be doing a review as soon as I get done with the books one by one. So that’s something to look forward for all the book lovers, hehe.

What do you think about my pick? Which is your favorite book? What do you love about it? Suggest me some good reads!! 😀

Love,

Fam xx
