A Bit of Shopping

The New Things + First Impression #2

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

I recently did a spot of shopping and picked a few things I wanted from a while.

1 – Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – Waterproof (RO 6.800)

I mentioned this in my last wish list. I wanted to buy new mascara and and settled for Maybelline Lash Sensational because of the raving reviews it’s been getting. I got it on offer from Center Point. You get Maybelline’s Lasting Drama 24H Automatic Gel Pencil for free when you purchase Lash Sensational mascara.

I have used it a couple of times. It’s truly waterproof and doesn’t come off from normal cleanser. I think you would need a proper eye makeup remover. I found it a little clumpy but it settles after a while. I am still testing it out and am undecided how I really feel about this product but hopefully by the time I do a review I would have a clearer idea.

2 – Real Techniques Deep Cleansing Gel for Makeup Brushes (RO 8.000)

Yes!!! I finally have it!!! *happy dance*

I have been after this cleanser from a bit and I am so happy to finally have it. I tested it just once and I am very impressed by the result. It didn’t even take me two minutes to clean my brushes and they came out squeaky clean, super soft and no shedding. I am going to try it a couple more times over the weeks and will report back. Though let me just tell you guys, I am already in love with it.

I would like to give a huge shout out to ‘Makeup Medley Muscat’ for arranging this cleanser for me. Thank you so much!! If you’re from Muscat and are looking for someone who can get you not easily accessible brands and products, I would recommend MMM. They are really friendly, helpful and suggestions are always welcomed. I am linking their Facebook page and Instagram below. Let them know if you’re visiting their page because of my blog. 🙂

Eyeing Some Drugstore Beauts! x

Drugstore Wishlist - famtaq

Guys, we are just two days away from October… what?! Where did most of the year go? 😐 Let me know if you have any idea!

I compiled a wish list for today’s post. I went to Center Point a while back and saw so many things I liked.

1- Blue eyeliners are having a major moment right now and if you know me at all you would know how obsessed I am with the color blue. Maybelline is doing some of the best blue eyeliners. They have a liquid pen liner, pencil liner and kajal. I have tried all of them. The liquid pen gets the job done in one stroke, the pencil liner has a lasting texture and the Kajal is plain gorgeous. I can’t decide which one to pick and which one to drop (so I might buy them all).

2- I am into Mascaras a lot these days. I love my Essence Get Big Lashes mascara but I will be finishing it soon so to replace it I have two options. I am curious about Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara as almost every blogger/youtuber is raving about it so that’s one.

3- I also had my eyes on Max Factor mascaras especially their Masterpiece Transform from a while now. Let’s see which one I pick. (Pretty sure I am picking both!)

4- I am not really that crazy about eye shadows but ever since I have seen NYX Show Girl I can’t really think about anything else. It’s a pot of copper goodness. I can’t wait to try it on my lids. I’ll prolly be sweeping it all over. Totally in love with this shade.

5- Bourjois is slowly becoming my favorite brand. I already have a blush from them in Golden Rose and love it. I swatched Love Struck Rose and have been dreaming about it ever since. It will be an impulse purchase if I get it.

6- I haven’t really stopped talking about Bourjois Rouge Velvet Lipstick ever since it came here. I have tried one of their bold shades – pink. Pros; the finish is matte and pretty. Cons; It doesn’t go opaque in 1/2/3 go, smells a bit weird and feels like you have oil on your lips. Not sure if I will buy it but I will try the red one. If it is any good I surely will.

What’s on your wish list these days?!

Edit Note: Center Point Muscat is offering Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara for RO 6.800 with a free black gel eyeliner. How much more convincing would one want to get this now? 😉

Empties

Empties #1

_1428829644686 (2)

Sorry for the lack of posts guys. There is something wrong with WordPress and Omantel connection here. I cannot access a lot of things on WP. Sometimes I can’t even view other blogs and that sucks. I hope they fix the problem soon because I want to get into the blogging zone again and want to discover more blogs too. I miss reading everything you guys have been posting.

For today I thought to share my garbage with you all, ha. I have been saving some of these empties from a while now and that’s absolutely gross but then it was necessary, lol.

Before we start I would like to tell you guys that back in the days I was very careful about what I pick. There wasn’t much experimenting involved. I am still careful but I do tend to experiment now. The stuff I am going to talk about is almost everything I would want to repurchase because they were really good. Now let’s get started. 😀

So I tried Carolina Herrera VIP 212 and loved it. The smell is strong, not very feminine and superb for any occasion. You can wear it on a daily basis or keep it for special occasions and it will go perfectly with anything. It might come off very strong in the beginning but you adjust pretty quickly. I love the packaging and do plan to repurchase it soon.

I remember Cabotine De Gres was suggested by Annayah to me and as soon as I had a sniff of it I knew I wanted it in my life. It’s my most favorite scent and I have worn it so much. I always used to get asked out about it. The sad thing is I went to repurchase it but they ran out of it and maybe another version of it came out and they discounted this one. That was quite upsetting but I shall find it and make it mine one day – like a gazillion bottles of it.

By the number of Olay Essential Beauty Fluid in this picture you might have already guessed my feelings for this product. Non greasy, smooth finish, hydrating – Olay Beauty Fluid for normal/combo skin is an essential for me. I go through a bottle very quickly now because I use it on a daily basis. It works as my moisturizer, primer, day and night cream; it’s basically everything for me. Thanks mum for getting me addicted to it. I have already repurchased it a number of times.

If there is one moisturizer I would prefer over Olay Essential Beauty Fluid it would be The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. Extremely light on the skin, perfect for dry skin days because extremely hydrating, works amazingly to fix dry patches, gives a boost to your dull complexion and a superb primer. So many good qualities and I can still not make myself to repurchase it unless they put it up in the Sale section because RO 5.700 for a 50ml cream; I just can’t justify this purchase. If only they come up with a bigger tub I wouldn’t mind buying but 50ml is just too less.

I have raved about Olay Gentle Cleansers Softening Milk so much in a lot of posts. It was my favorite milk cleanser before I ran out of it and I found out they discounted it. It was the most non greasy milk cleanser, would remove my makeup in one go, was amazing as a facial routine and was generally very good. I plan to try the new Milk Cleanser they came out with but I doubt it will be as good as this one. Stay tuned for a review on it soonish because I am half way through with my The Body Shop Cucumber Milk Cleanser so Olay will be my next target.

The first time I used The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash I was not really sure if I would repurchase it. The thing is I like changing my face wash after I am done with one or I just buy a new one while already using one because I get bored and I like variety for my face washes. This bottle was very trying. It’s huge (250ml) and took me nearly 8 months to finish. I was frustrated in between and bought a Neutrogena face wash but returned to Tea Tree face wash because IT’S INCREDIBLE!! It smells a little funny in the start but the way it clears your skin after a night, no other product can. It’s very soothing and brightens your complexion. It doesn’t do much for your acne but it does help with oiliness. I repurchased it even before it ended because that’s just how much I cannot live without this product.

YC Whitening Facial Scrub with Mulberry Extract – officially my favorite scrub ever. Gentle on the skin, scrubs in well, made out of natural stuff and an extremely economical price; I love it. I repurchased it in Avocado this time. It smells a lot like Nair hair removing cream lol but love how well it exfoliate without hurting the skin.

I love my waterline black as the darkest night and nothing does that well than Maybelline The Colossal Kajal in Black/Noir. It stays in place for a really long time and is generally very good. Can be used as an eyeliner too but not for people like me who have no eyelid space. I repurchased it the moment it ended. It’s a staple.

And we are done. I hope I did not bore you guys to death because this was a really long post. I never thought it would be. o_O

Until next time,

Love,

~F x

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg - famtaq.com

1- Currently Reading

I got my hands on Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Blogger/Youtuber Zoella). A friend got it for me from Pakistan. It is not available in Oman for now. So far I have read a couple of chapters and I am reading it in Zoe’s voice, ha. I can’t wait to read more and give you guys a review! Very glad I got a copy because I was dying of curiosity. All my favorite bloggers are coming out with their books and it’s so exciting. This community is thriving and I am so proud of being a part of it. 🙂

Lindt Swiss Dark Chocolate - famtaq.com

2- Testing Testing

I don’t like to experiment with chocolates because I am a forever Galaxy and Cadbury girl (with except of Patchi and Starbucks) but I tried Lindt Swiss Dark Chocolate this week and it was quite good. It tasted like Starbuck’s Dark Chocolate and I guess I will probably repurchase it (quite a lot from now). I would love to try other flavors too from Lindt so if you have any favorites do leave them in the comments below. 🙂

Maybelline Lady Red Lipstick - famtaq.com

3- Red Lips

I can’t deny it anymore; Red Lips is my most favorite thing in the whole world. I can’t stop trying Red lipsticks from every makeup counter. I love them all and I want them all. Recent favorites include Bobbi Brown Hollywood Red, MAC Ruby Woo and MAC Cherry Lip Pencil. For now, I am wearing my Maybelline Red Lady lipstick nonstop. Red Lips are just my kinda thing.

Khaadi - famtaq.com

4- Kurta Obsession

Now this is a complete South Asian thing. There is a Pakistani clothes brand called Khaadi. It’s very popular and kinda high-end. They have come out with some really nice Kurtas and I am dying to fly off to Lahore and buy myself the whole shop. A friend got me one and I still didn’t get my hands on it but as soon as I do I shall keep you guys posted on how lovely it is in real.

Durr-e-Najaf - famtaq.com

5- New on Finger

I don’t really think anyone would know about it but I recently got a ring with a transparent stone called ‘Durr e Najaf’. It’s related to Islamic history and I do not know much other than that Hazrat Ali (R.A.) used to wear this stone on his finger. I love it. It’s absolutely gorgeous and ever since I got it, I didn’t take it off. They say it wards off troubles. Let’s hope that’s true. 🙂

6- Room

I am getting a little crazy with the idea of redoing my room completely. For now it doesn’t seem anything like me unless you count my bookshelf in. I am thinking of doing some home ware hauls and just get my room to look more like me. I am thinking of wall frames, wall shelves, some candles and more books. I can start with a new and bigger bookshelf and a study table that goes with my furniture. Also, packing away some unwanted items for now would be great too. Anybody has any suggestions please let me know in the comments below. I need to make a Pinterest board.

Have a good weekend y’ll!

Love,

~Fatima ❤

The Long Lasting Eyeliners – Drugstore Edition

_1425895131503

20150312_063142-2

~Left to Right – Revlon, Essence & Maybelline~

Doing an eyeliner post is just so hilarious for someone like me who has no space at all for it thanks to my hooded eyelids. That however doesn’t stop me from buying any eyeliner I like, ha. Today I am going to share three of my favorites that help this hooded eyelids look a little better. Just a little side note: I love my eyeliner black and I am yet to venture in the colored eyeliner department. I already have my eyes on Bourjois Eye pencils because I swatched them the other day at the mall and they were pretty impressive. I like the color range too so I guess a little purchase is in order.

1- Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in 01 Darkest Black

This is my most recommended eyeliner I have been using this one for over a year now; it is still going strong and hasn’t dried off. It is the blackest black there is and has a glossy finish. My favorite thing about it is how strong its tip is. It didn’t bend till day and I can draw a line or flick in a jiffy with it. It is so easy to use. Its staying power is very good too and it doesn’t really budge unless you have very oily eyelids like mine with no space on the lids because then the skin just keeps rubbing against more skin and you have eyeliner all over your lid and also if you love to rub your eyes every ten minutes after putting your eyeliner on. However this has given me a number of great days and it is my party time or a long-day-ahead go-to liner. I think I will repurchase it once this one gives up on me.

2- Essence Stay No Matter What Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Midnight Black

I don’t know if I have emphasized enough on how much I love Essence Cosmetics. I love everything by them especially their nail polish range. They have such good quality and their prices are so affordable. I got this eyeliner in the middle of last year. After half a year and quite a lot of usage, it is still pretty black. It has a matte finish. Its tip however has bent. Though that hasn’t brought any problem in applying eyeliner for me but I really preferred it while its tip was strong. I might just repurchase it because it was my go-to eyeliner for every day and it last a long time as well.

3- Maybelline The Colossal Kajal in Black/Noir

This isn’t really eyeliner but it can be used as one and anyone who is into pencil liners would really like it. It is very dark but you will have to be careful with it because it’s amazing on the water line but I doubt it holds up that well on the lids. You will just have to make sure you don’t rub your lids too hard when you have it on.

I hope this was helpful. 🙂 Thanks for reading y’all!

Love,

Review ~ Maybelline Fit Me Foundation – The Best One Out There

Copy of DSC05778

Collage

This took me quite some time but I can say I am finally into foundations. I want to try every kind, write detailed reviews on them and compare them to each other. Let me know in the comments below if you would be interested in something of that sort.

I am a fan of weightless, natural and medium but buildable coverage foundations and that’s exactly what I was looking for while trying different foundation in Centerpoint aisles. I had my eyes on Maybelline Fit Me Foundation for a while now but never got around to purchasing it until recently.

I purchased Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation in shade 115 Ivory. It comes in a thick rectangular transparent glass bottle with the same size black top. The packaging is so sturdy, it slipped on the tiles in my room and I almost scream out because I was sure it was going to break into pieces but it did not. It just got a little dent on the side. I was so happy. It has a pump to extract the lose consistency foundation which is another thing I love about it. Pumps just make life so much easier.

I personally love Maybelline Fit Me foundation and find it incredible. It is extremely light on the face and very blendable. I use about one and a half or two pumps of it. It is quite liquidy so it gives you about two to three minutes to set it before it settles. I mostly apply it with my fingers in a stippling motion and that gives it a flawless velvety finish. As we all know, matte looks is so 2014 and velvety finish is what’s in these days, so I believe this is one of the best foundations out there. I have also tried applying it with my Sigma 3DHD Kabuki brush and that has been good too. I however prefer the latter method more.

It evens out in no time and blurs any acne marks or spots you’d like not to show. It has medium coverage but you can always build it on. I prefer keeping mine medium and more natural so I don’t often go the buildable way. On days when I don’t feel like doing the whole makeup routine I simply just put this on to even out my skin tone as my nose is darker than any other area. I also like to use Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 20 to brighten up my eye area.

Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation comes in so many shades and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a really good quality drugstore foundation or if you are a newbie trying out makeup for the first time and don’t want to go all hardcore yet. I think this foundation is going to be a staple in my makeup stash from now on and I might repurchase it in two months time because I am already 25% through with this bottle, ha.

What is your favorite drugstore foundation? I would love to try some new ones. Let me know in the comments below. 🙂

Love,

~Fx

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks by Kate Moss~

???????????????????????????????

???????????????????????????????

DSC05782 - Copy

1422514924657

It is common knowledge in this part of the internet that I don’t have much experience with makeup but I like to spend fortunes on it. Though there is just one product I like to be careful about before picking – Lipsticks. Ever since buying Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Lady Red, which was the darkest red ever, as my first proper lip color and practically never wearing it I decided to experiment with colors a little before investing in my first ever MAC Lipstick (and the haul that will follow).

I went over to Rimmel Counter a couple of days back and after swatching (it’s not a word I know but please just go with the flow with this one) almost every lipstick in the stand, I came out with two.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 05 is a pretty pink that is very similar to my natural lip color. This lipstick brings out my lips fuller and I can go with the statement – My lips but better, ha. This is an everyday color.

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 12 is a bright Orange/Tangerine color that I bought just because MAC So Chaude didn’t suit me and I was very upset about it. I love 12 and sport it more than 05 as I am still getting the hang of wearing Pink. Not A very girly girl. This is a great shade for autumn/winter.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks are glossy and glide on well. I usually apply a lip balm, Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched if I am in a rush or The Body Shop Cocoa Lip Butter if I have some time in my hand before applying lipstick. If your balm hasn’t sunk in and you apply these lipsticks, they are never staying on, so be careful about that.

These Lipsticks are not very long lasting especially if you’re going to be eating or drinking but if you don’t mind checking your makeup every now and then, this will do just fine with you. The best thing is their price tag, so very reasonable at just R.O. 2.900.

Overall I am happy with the purchase (but my mind won’t stop screaming MAC & Bobbib Brown NEXT!!!!!)

Love,

~F x

FOTD with New Drugstore Purchases

I thought to do a Face of The Day with some products I recently bought. I haven’t done any FOTD posts before so if you like it, do let me know and I might post some more. 🙂

DSC05811

Collage

This is an everyday kind of a look for me these days. Starting from primer, I don’t own one and rely on my The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream. My skin has been acting up recently and I have got dry patches on my cheeks. I prep my skin by apply the Moisture Cream as it hydrates those dry patches instantly and gives me an even canvas to apply my foundation on. I take my newly purchased Maybelline Fit Me Liquid Foundation in shade 115 Ivory. This is such an incredible foundation. I had been eyeing it since forever and I finally get the chance to experiment with it. I use about one and a half or two pumps. It is liquid so it gives you about two to three minutes to set it before it settles. I don’t use a foundation brush yet and apply it with my fingers in a stippling motion. Maybelline Fit Me gives a smooth finish and feels weightless on the skin – definitely my kind of foundation. I will do a detailed review on it soon. For blusher I went for a light pink tone without any contouring this time.

Once done with the face I go for the eyes. I keep it quite basic. I use Maybelline The Colossal Kajal in Black/Noir on my water line. If I don’t use any kajal/kohl my eyes look quite dead/sad. For eyeshadow I went for an orange color with copper/rust touch. For eyeliner I use Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in shade 01 Blackest Black Noir Intense. An easy to use liquid pen eyeliner that stays on for half a day at least. Its my most favorite and recommended eyeliner. For Lashes I use Essence Get Big Lashes Volume Curl Mascara. This is an amazing Mascara as it gives such a great volume to your lashes without clumps. Love this product. Detailed review for this one will be up soon too.

For lips I use Maybelline Baby Lips in 05 Quenched to prep them as it sinks in real quick and doesn’t leave much of a residue. I apply my lipstick on top of it. Here I used Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in number 12. It is a bright orange that I bought as compensation to MAC So Chaude. I tried So Chaude and I don’t think I can rock that color (This doesn’t guarantee I won’t buy it). Rimmel Kate Moss in number 12 looks much better on me. If you dap your lips on a tissue paper after applying this lipstick, it gives a salmon color which looks quite good too.

I hope you guys liked this post! If you did do leave a comment below!

Thank you for reading 🙂

Thoughts & Reflections

2014 Favorites :) ❤

Hola Fellaz!!

I can’t believe today is the last day of 2014. I mean it was just yesterday I was out and about shopping for my birthday. Time is passing so quickly I can hardly keep track anymore.

Now I am not a very cool person and doing monthly favorites or general favorites for that matter have never been my thing. I fall in and out of love way too quickly. However this year I decided to do a 2014 Favorites post. So let’s get started! 😀

1420024828227

~ Blog ~

I have written some cool pieces this year and I am kind of very proud of them (even if they aren’t very cool as per the standard, haha). The first thing I am super happy about is the ‘Lately’ posts – snippets of my everyday life. When I started Rebel’s Spot I had somewhat promised myself not to go personal on the blog but there was also a part of me who wanted to turn a section of the blog into my private diary kind of thing and hence started the Lately category. Thanks to Becky from MilkBubbleTea blog for inspiring me. I actually love all of them and am linking them (CLICK HERE TO SEE THEM) for you all to have a look. 😀

I wrote two personal posts which I love rereading every now and then and I think you should give them a read too so; SMILE – YOU ARE TOO YOUNG TO BE THIS SAD and THOUGHTS ~ Staying Strong 365 Days a Week Book by Demi Lovato & Mantra Magic

My favorite post however remain saying Goodbye to 2013 (Click here to see it). Favorite post ever I would say.

beaut 2014

~ Beauty ~

I like how I have got into beauty recently (I don’t like the affect it has made on my saving plans though 😛 ) Most of the year has been spent checking the aisles of the beauty section of every store I have ever been to. I have experimented, learned and read so much about beauty, skincare and have discovered such nice products which is an extremely new thing for me. All in all I am happy about it.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash has been my constant partner this year keeping my oiliness much under control. The Body Shop Born Lippy in Strawberry has been a complete babe. I just love the lip balm so much. It leaves my lips soft, smooth, plum and pink. Maybelline Colossal Kajal and Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen have been amazing too. I do not look like someone has smacked my eye sockets ever since I started using these, ha. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 and Maybelline Fit Me Concealer have helped me cover up my acne so well throughout the year. I love these too as they are light on the skin and have 12+ hrs amazing staying power. The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream has been such a soothing product for my face and has fixed my dry patches immensely. The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask has been a champ. It reduces oiliness and blackheads when used regularly and I have been doing nothing else. I do let the routine slip sometimes and that’s just okay.

~ Body ~

Marks & Spencer Nature’s Extracts Fresh Aloe Vera Exfoliating Body Scrub has been amazing. It keeps the skin smooth and smells so fresh and green.

~ Nails Wise ~

Essence Nail Polish in That’s What I Mint, Wanna Be Your Sunshine and Off To Miami by Essence have been gorgeous. I love wearing these three together.

~ Fragrance Wise ~

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell in Bloom and Victoria’s Secret Night body mists has been my favorite this year. I have loved using 212 VIP Perfume by Carolina Herrera a lot too this year.

Fashion

~ Fashion ~

I loved my Leopard Ring by Max and my Leaf Ear Cuff by Parfois. The best picks of this year, ha. Let’s not forget my latest purchase Printed TightsI am in love with these and can’t wait to wear them out, haha.

 ⌘

boooooks

~ Books ~

I am actually sad about this category because I didn’t read much this year. With what little I read Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell (Click here for review) has been the best book. I loved it so much and would recommend it to the whole wide world. A must, must read if you haven’t already. There are two other books I liked and did not review yet; 1- Fifty Shades of Grey (Book 1) which was all kind of amazing and 2- The Truth About Alice was such a good read and I would recommend it to every (teenage) girl out there.

I wish I could include The Book Thief and The Forty Rules of Love here but as I sucked at reading this year, these two will be included in next year’s post, lol.

 ⌘

sdfghjkl;

~ Movies/Shows ~

I am not a movie person anymore. I’ve become too impatient for them. Favorite movie for this year has got to be The Fault in Our Stars (Click here for review). The book didn’t have that much affect on me the way the movie did. I simply loved it.

SHERLOCK and DOCTOR WHO!!!!! Team Moffat all the wayyy, haha!!! 😀 I have loved these two so muchhhh and these shows have made me cry buckets and buckets of tears but that’s alright. Mr Moffat is allowed to do as he pleases. I can’t wait to watch more of these two in 2015.

muzzzic

~ Music ~

Hmm, I have been hearing a few albums on repeat this year. For once I have heard old albums of One Direction on repeat. Then albums wise I have heard X by Ed Sheeran, Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey, Four by One Direction and 1989 by Taylor Swift. Singles wise: Rude by Magic, I Wanna Be Yours by Artic Monkey, Parachute (acoustic version) by Ingrid Michaelson (thanks Pretty Little Liars), Counting Stars and Love Runs Out by One Republic, Team by Lorde and Ayo Technology by Milow. Soundtrack wise: (500) Days of Summer.

~

I didn’t do Food favorites because… seriously how do you even decide that? Some life related stuff; I graduated from uni with Bachelors degree and I have started working full time now for an Electrical Engineering company.

And that’s it. We have covered my year in 2014, ha.

Hope you guys had a good 2014. May you have a splendid 2015 filled with love, happiness and lots of peace of mind. 🙂

See you on the other side, aye! ❤

Love yourself – often and enough

First Ever Cosmetic Haul Review

There is just one thing I want to do before this year ends – write a review of my first ever cosmetic haul (Click here to see it) I did back in January and never got around to writing a final impression post. Before I get down to it lets keep a few things in mind; 2014 was the first year I started using makeup. I wasn’t decked up in makeup every day and not even frequently but by the end of this year I had read/watched and experimented enough to know a few things.

Now let’s get started.

1

1-       Maybelline – Fit Me Concealer

This has got to be the best concealer ever. The formula is light, creamy and blends out real well. It has a great staying power as well. I love the extremely chic packaging. It is easy to carry around in your bag and I have done that year around. The packaging is sturdy and I have never encountered a leakage. Because I haven’t used it enough I still have a lot to get through. I am really excited to get done with it so I can buy another one. That’s like one of my goals for 2015, lol. My current concealer is a shade 20.

2-       Maybelline – The Colossal Kajal

Aaahh, the best kohl pencil I have tried so far. It is jet black and lasts forever. It can be used as eyeliner too but if you have droopy eyelids like mine which are oily as well, this isn’t a good idea. But if you want something that will stay on your waterline all day all night long, this is the product for you. I have sensitive eyes and it took me a while to get used to this pencil but once I got used to it, I never bothered taking it off. Love, love, LOVE this. I have already bought another one and am so proud I actually finished off the first one within this year.

IMG_20140120_123733

3-      Revlon – Color Stay Liquid Eye Pen

This liquid pen eyeliner has been so nice to me all year. I have neglected it so much but every time I picked it up from my makeup bag it proved to be so good. No eyeliner really stays for long on my lids because they are droopy and oily but this out of all has given me the most hours. Also I was under the impression that it might have dried off by now but nope. It has stayed in good condition and I can go as far as saying it has become better. Is that even possible? If you are into trying new stuff but returning to your old ones too from time to time, this is a great liner. Also, of you are a wand eyeliner person and are thinking to shift to pen, I would highly recommend Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen.

4-      Rimmel – Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner (240 Aqua Sparkle)

This gorgeous pencil has been on my eyes more than any eyeliner or kohl this year. Blue is my absolute one true love and I am so glad I bought this. Though I must admit I never went back to buy more colored eyeliner but then again I didn’t buy much cosmetic all year. (Goals 2015 = buy more makeup)

I have used it on my eyelids most and sometimes outer part of the waterline. Never on the waterline though because I was afraid would I irritate my eyes. When I sat down to write this post I realized I never used this eyeliner on the inner corner of my eyes. Another one in the Goals 2015 list, ha.

5-      Rimmel – Lasting Finish – 1000 Kisses Stay on Lip Contouring Pencil

I have nothing to say about it because I lost it before I could experiment with it. 😦

6-      Rimmel – Lipstick Collection by Kate Moss – 084 Amethyst Shimmer

A year has passed and this lipstick remains a bad decision, Hahaha. This time I have even put up a picture for you guys to see.

7-      Rimmel – Salon Pro Nail Polish by Kate Moss 713 Britpop

I love Salon Pro range from Rimmel. The formula is thick, glossy and one swipe is enough to make your nails opaque. I have done a complete post on Britpop (click here) and my recent purchase Rock N Roll (click here). Click on the links to read the deets. 😀

8-      Maybelline – Color Sensational Lipstick – 527 Lady Red

Favorite red lipstick 😀 Color Sensational Lipstick range is really amazing. Lady Red is a bright red with orange undertone. It is so creamy and glides on the lips effortless. It doesn’t flake nor does it leaves your lips dehydrated. The formula is light as well.  It tastes really good too, lol. I still don’t wear it often but sometimes I do and those days are such happy days, haha. I am just not very bold about my makeup yet.

9-      Maybelline – Master Drama Kohl Liner

The last time I wrote about it, it was a one liner – worst mistake ever. I think I should elaborate now. It’s not often (read ever) that I dislike something from Maybelline. I love Maybelline and have a strong brand loyalty towards it but this product was such a disappointment. It would just not appear on my lids no matter how hard I tried. Then its lead kept breaking and every time I would sharpen it, it wouldn’t come up properly. You know right, when the skin is covering half the lead? That’s what happened with me. So upsetting because I thought this would be better compared to The Colossal Kajal. They have some new products out in Master Drama range which a lot of people are raving about but I am reluctant to get them. Let me know if you guys have used the new products and if there is anything worth investing in.

10-      Maybelline – Super Stay Foundation 010 Ivory

This was my first ever proper foundation and I was idiot because I chose it in a color darker to my skin tone. I have no idea now where I read that’s how you choose a perfect foundation but it taught me a very good lesson, ha. I didn’t really like the formula of this one as I could easily feel it on my skin and that is just something I don’t like. I think I would have stuck to it if I got it in a proper shade but alas we would never get to know that end of the story because I gave it away, haha. I am glad I did because my mum got me Bobbi Brown Foundation then, lol.

Done, done, doneeee!! 😀 I have achieved my goal. I am so happpyyy, haha. I hope you guys had fun going through the review and I hope there are more shopping hauls in 2015 because I really love talking about new shopping and about makeup once I am done experimenting with it. I hope you all have great plans for the coming year and may you all find peace of mind and happiness in the New Year. ❤

Lots of Love,
